Meet Jesus Cont...

Good to see you. GOOD CHOICE!

You will never be the same again from this day.

Q. What's going to happen?

In a nutshell...this is a contract between you and God.
As you repeat these words verbally (or choose your own along these lines) you will be giving up your rights to your life and handing them over to God to wash, clean and forgive you from sin by what Jesus did on the cross, to awaken your spirit and let him fill you and guide you by HIS Spirit. You will now become His property.
This is a contract!

Let's begin! say and mean these words:

Father, I come to you in the powerful name of Jesus.

I surrender my life and destiny into your hands.

I ask you to forgive me of all sin, wash and cleanse me so I am as white as snow in your sight.

Fill me with your Holy Spirit and power so I am able to do the great things you have planned for me.

Teach me and guide me in all truth, protect me and my family.

Use me and prepare me for your purpose.

I declare openly, as from this day Jesus is Lord and King of my life. I have been bought with the price of Jesus' blood.

I am now Yours.

Thank you in Jesus name

Congratulations. You are now part of God's family.
You have just begun a new life. Things are about be revealed to you that you never saw before, so don't freak out, simply ask God to lead you, show you and teach you.

What's next?

Ok, now you are saved personally and you need to plug into a community of other believers (called the Church -  1 Corinthians 12:12 ) this will strengthen you as you share and meet new people of like mind as well as for YOU to inspire others.

Find a contemporary church in your area that has life in it and preaches Jesus and power (not rules and regulations = religion) which Jesus now set you free from (Colossians 2:16-3:17). Ask God to show you one.

Get a Bible or ask the church for one. (I suggest the Living NLT or NIV translation - as these will make things a bit easier to understand in today's language).

Start reading in the New Testament  from Matthew onwards. Ask God to reveal His words to you before you read because the word of God IS ALIVE so you can read things again and again and it will reveal other things each time.

"So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void (empty), but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing where I sent it." Isaiah 55:11

PRACTICAL TIPS

Like anything, it's wise to learn from other peoples mistakes than for you to go throgh things yourself. So here are some tips I have learned that help greatly.

Prayer

Tip 1. Because we dont know what or how we should pray - God gave us the the Holy Spirit after Jesus was raised from the dead - His job is to EMPOWER YOU so you are not on this earth alone or have to do things on your own (or fatherless or orphans as it says). He gives you the ability to do things. One of these include the ability to PRAY ON OUR BEHALF. Because our big heads and thought get in the way he gives us a language (this is called tongues) where it will be your spirit praying direct to God - a direct hotline so to speak. You can read about it here  1 Corinthians 14:12 and in the first church when the Holy Spirit first was given Acts chapter 1.

To get this JUST ASK GOD FOR IT and you will recieve it.
God can also use your tongue as a vessel to pray for others - this is called intercession (on behalf of others).

Tip 2. Because the word of God is ALIVE - it is best to pray it as it is written, that way you are praying Gods words and they are pure. For example pray the prayers that Paul the Apostle says at the begining or end of his writtings if they are applicable to your life and replace the the word YOU (because he was talking to the church in that country) with the word "me". You will start seeing things happen within a few days/weeks that will amaze you. A good example is: Ephesians 1:18 -23

I pray that MY heart will be flooded with light so that I can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.
I also pray that I will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms.
Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church.
Ephesians 1:18 -23

Robbed of sleep?

Tip 3. Just tossing and turning? Sometimes it can be the devil robbing you to run you down (he is the one that steal, kills, destroys) and cares of this life keeping you up to give you stress and try and work things out in your own understanding:

Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5

- WELL, TURN IT AROUND by saying "Ok devil if you are going to keep me awake I will dedicate this time to reading my bible" and go and do it. You wait and see how long it takes until those things that kept you awake are gone and you are tired.

Snippets of wisdom

Tip 4. If you want really practical wisdom about life or business the book of Proverbs is brilliant.

Learn from other peoples mistakes and life lessons

Tip 5. In your church they will be some people which you really admire or respect than others because they are different. For example: a couple married for long time, a familly that get along well, an elderly person - take time out with them and ask them some practical tips or pitfalls to look out for. This is great for anyone wanting to get married or raising a family.

Here are some of Gods words that have helped me that I want to share with you.
